Sprint 42 Deployment (25 September 2012)

In this release:

    • They’re back! The home page now shows rotating total stats for all of Ohloh at the bottom of the blue search box. Projects, LOC, contributors, repositories.
    • Three new embeddable widgets for Ohloh Code: Search code within a project, Browse code within a project, and Search all Ohloh Code projects. Want to let someone dive right into your code base from your blog or site? Embed one of these!
    • Its back! The world activity map has returned to the project pages. See both users’ and contributors’ locations, along with a count for each location plotted on the map. You’ll find it in the bottom navigation for projects, under the right-most column: “User and Contributor Locations”.
    • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

    Love the new code search!

Although, for your widgets to properly fit into our site, we’d need some customization options. Something like Facebook’s widget creator would be ideal, but even just the variables exposed in the Wiki-specific embed code would be really handy in the in the HTML script as well.

To make this fit properly on our page, I would need to:
    – Adjust colors (we have a black background)
    – Hide our logo (takes up too much space)
    – Limit width to something like 240

I also don’t know why you show the project names on a new line. I like the compactness of the search_all widget.

Uhm, did I mention I love the new code search? ^^
