Cast Your Vote for the New Open Source Rookies Community Choice Award!

Black Duck’s Open Source Rookies of the Year program is back again this year to recognize the best new projects in open source. For the past five years, we have evaluated thousands of open source projects based on data from and the Black Duck KnowledgeBase – looking at everything from project size and activity, to pace of commits and team attributes – to determine the top 10 new projects of the year. Former Open Source Rookies winners include notable projects like OpenStack, Twitter Bootstrap and Salt Stack, and next month we’ll be announcing the best and brightest of the open source projects that came on the scene in 2013. But we need your help!

This year we are turning one of these awards over to the community, allowing you to choose your favorite new open source project initiated in 2013. Cast your vote here by entering the name and website (project site or Ohloh project page) of the open source project you’d like to nominate.

Voting will close on January 2, 2014 at 8pm EST, so cast your vote today to make sure your favorite gets recognized!
